Amazon stopped doing its own prep in January 2026. We do it the way the receiving dock wants it: FNSKU labels placed right, poly bags with the suffocation warning, bundles built to the listing. Then we book the freight straight to the Amazon.ca fulfillment centre.

I'm Michael, founder and operations lead at Polar. We're selectively onboarding our first US brand partners. No cold storage or refrigeration. No hazardous goods. No US-side fulfillment. We do one thing, Canadian fulfillment from Hamilton, and we do it properly.

Questions we get

The things founders ask before they ship a pallet.

What if we don't see enough Canadian demand?
Start with a limited SKU set and one pallet. There is no long contract and no minimum monthly order count. If it does not work, we ship the stock back or liquidate it locally, your call.
How do duties actually work?
Your stock crosses once as a commercial shipment. Duty and GST are paid on the wholesale value, on one invoice. From then on every order is a domestic Canadian shipment. Your customer pays nothing at the door.
Which stores do you connect to?
Shopify, WooCommerce, and anything with an API. Orders sync automatically; inventory counts sync back.
Do you ship to Amazon.ca fulfillment centres?
Yes. We prep to Amazon's spec and book LTL or small parcel freight straight to the FC Amazon assigns.
How fast is 1 to 3 days, really?
Ontario and Quebec are mostly next day. The West and Atlantic are 2 to 3 days. Remote and northern addresses take longer, and the calculator shows that honestly.
Do you handle returns?
Yes. Canadian returns come back to Hamilton, get inspected, and go back on the shelf or into a hold, per your rules.
Do you handle Quebec French-language packaging?
Yes. Quebec's Bill 96 requires French on consumer product packaging. We handle bilingual English/French labeling and repackaging as part of our prep process, so your products stay compliant without you needing to manage a separate vendor.
Do you do cold storage?
No. Nothing refrigerated or frozen.
